Market opens with Sugar rise but broad slump follows
Monday evening market action shows Sugar leading gains then a broad selloff as traders cover shorts. Experts anticipate a possible large bond issue up to 100 million though some question reserve trends. Reports note insider manipulation concerns and mixed results across rail and commodity notes with earnings and court lists appended.

Lena Nelson rescues derelict Charles E Morrison crew
The Maine schooner Lena Nelson from Jonesport arrived after sighting and boarding the abandoned three masted Boston schooner Charles E Morrison in the Atlantic. The Morrison, at 40.18W 70.0W, flooded and later sank as Lena Nelson stood by. Captain William Nelson said the Morrison’s pumps showed 612 feet of water. The Lena Nelson, built by John A. McKie East Boston, completed her first round trip from Port au Prince Haiti in 24 days and proved her seaworthiness during the encounter.
