Charles W. Morse, financier, had bail denied as he remains sentenced to 15 years at hard labor. The circuit court of appeals closed today with Morse likely staying in Tombs Prison until at least December 3 when arguments on the granted writ of error may be heard.
Morse remains in custody at the Tombs as judges deny bail but permit a renewal after a bill of particulars is filed. His wife and son Harry visited and urged hope for release by nightfall if a decision is reached.
Harvard takes signal and formation practice with a fit squad. Captain Burr watches. Dartmouth focuses on keeping men in shape for Saturday. Yale shows great form with a new lineup. Princeton faces a decided opponent as a reorganized team performs well. McCrohan plays on the subs.
President Gompers says he was honored to be excluded from the Roosevelt guest list, asserting his labor leadership represents millions of workers. John Mitchell cannot attend due to Denver travel constraints, and other federation officers on the list cannot go as the federation meets in session.

In Friedrichshafen on November 10 Emperor William awarded Count Zeppelin the Order of the Black Eagle after a display of airship maneuvers. The emperor called Zeppelin the greatest German of the 20th century and praised his invention as a new stage in civilization.
Official returns show recount results across wards 13 to 24 with O Connell holding a final plurality. Ward totals shift between initial and final tallies, affecting overall margin and confirming O Connell's lead.
A work train carrying 28 Italian workers crashed into a freight train in front of Deep River station. Two men were killed outright, two others fatally injured, and about six severely hurt. The wreck involved two cabooses and an engine on the New York New Haven Hartford line.
The dead was Frank A. Furlong, a brakeman on the work train from New London. Injured were placed aboard a special car for New Haven. The train backed down a curve from Arnold's station with no warning that tracks were not clear. the flagman reportedly stood within ten feet. The conductor and fireman leaped as the collision became inevitable. Furlong was crushed to death. Many victims suffered severe injuries and lacerations.
At Constantinople on November 10 the Turkish government ordered 300,000,000 Mauser cartridges from Germany. Delivery is to be completed within two years.
Forecast shows showers in New England on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by fair weather. Eastern New York experiences showers midweek with cooler conditions in the southern portion, then Thursday brings fair skies and light to fresh north to northeast winds.
