Providence, R. I. Nov 9. The strike against Mrs Lipshitz the woman boss is off and six concrete mixers will appear for work tomorrow. Union orders keep the crew at work with Mrs Lipshitz in charge as contractor B. Lipshitz faced resistance when a woman led a six man crew on Whitmarsh street. Accidents and water buckets circulated but the men quit until union officials ordered a return to work after other grievance channels were tried.

Five men were found dead in a small Stamford bedroom after asphyxiation from illuminating gas. The victims are Stephen Arcade 50, his brother Peter 48, his son Peter 26, and two cousins Joseph Decanto 22 and D Editano 2.
