He reported a yearly income around 3000 dollars, cash in bank under 200, ownership of three small rental properties in Revere and Malden, with Revere equity about 500 dollars and offering 1000 dollars for sale. He noted a 1000 dollar endowment policy due in 1920, a 200 dollar second mortgage overdue three years, stocks and bonds valued under 3000 dollars, and 5 dollars in Gloucester Savings Bank.

Boston Palmist Kohler Arrested in Tropic of Deception Case

Royston Verrell of 220 West Forty sixth street, friend of Kohler, was arrested before the Hotel Astor on a warrant sworn by Mrs. William Palmer of East Fifty fourth accusing Verrell of swindling her of jewels and stock payments totaling 1 030. Palmer alleges Kohler used palm reading to ensnare her and preside over mining investments. Police later captured Kohler at Wigth Avenue and Forty fourth Street after a chase ending at detective headquarter. Both suspects deny wrongdoing and declined to discuss the charges.
