Amateur sparring tournament in B A A Gymnasium

On Saturday evening November 25 an amateur sparring tournament will be held in the B A A Gymnasium with open classes at 115 125 and 185 pounds. Weigh in is 12 to 1 on the day of the event. Gaelic School Adds Five to Roll at 1151 Washington

At the Gaelic School session yesterday afternoon five new names were added to the roll after classes. Superintendent P. J. O Daly, with Thomas R. Howard and William King, spoke in Irish and English on preserving the Irish language. A Gaelic League button designed in New York was shown, bearing the Irish inscription Connradh Na Gaedheal Tir is Teanga. A requiem high mass for Rev. Eugene O Growney was announced for November 20 at St James Church, with the Philo Celtic Society. The meeting ended with Gaelic and English songs and readings by participants.

Cyclists Complete Half Century Run to Acton and Back

Twenty six riders joined W B Handy on a run to Acton and return under clear skies but a strong outbound wind. P A McKay of Roslindale suffered a severe crash on Massachusetts avenue near Harvard bridge, losing control as his front forks failed. he was briefly unconscious but finished on foot. The Lowell trio led by Emery Soule rode twenty nine miles to Boston to Acton and back, totaling a century.
