A submarine cable will connect Scotland with Iceland with a 250 mile link to the Faroe Islands and a 500 mile link to Scotland. Iceland is the larger area to be linked, about a third bigger than Scotland. Photographs document the Duke of Orleans on a recent visit to the island, which is full of geysers.
