In Lynn on election night November 2, Democratic candidate Lynn Vahey led over Draper by roughly 300 votes with Vahey tallying 4953 to Draper 4674. Foss received 473 votes and Frothingham 4796.
Observers note Frothingham drops 91,098 votes from a 96,307 plurality as fusionists attack the Republican ticket. The shift also erodes Draper’s last year margin by 51,774 votes in the state election.
