Nova Scotia clipper schooners dock in Halifax harbor
Two Nova Scotia vessels the Minnie J Smith and the Athlon of Lunenburg arrived with new clipper design influencing Halifax shipbuilders. The Athlon, captained by Freeman Conrad, logged up to nine and a half knots on its first voyage from La Have.
