In Calais Maine two 16 year old boys clashed after school. Gerald Ryan was stabbed in the throat with a jackknife by Raymond Card. The blade entered the neck about three inches. Ryan was listed in serious condition. Card was arraigned in Municipal Court on assault charges and held on $400 bail posted by relatives.
Mrs Dorrit Van Deusen Stevens Woodhouse sues the husband’s parents for 1 million dollars. She is seen at court arriving with her head lowered after noting the cameraman.
