W J Jones manager of Sandwich Manufacturing Co was lured from his home by a message saying his presence was required at the Ogden House. He died from a bullet wound and fractured skull in a dark street near the hotel. Jack Wade lay dead nearby with a pistol wound. Rioting Socialists Distract German Jail Guard
In Berlijn on May 30 a socialist writer named Peus, jailed for six months, was escorted to Ploetzensee prison by about 400 rioting Socialists.
