Little Dorothea Callowhill of Jamaica Plain will unveil a historical boulder and tablet memorializing Jamaica Plain men who served in the Revolutionary War. Lawrence M. Pitman a Harvard senior studying mining engineering married Miss Elecea Maud Aztle of Arlington a former Somerville telephone girl over six months ago. The ceremony occurred December 19 at the home of Rev. Henry Hinckley on Trowbridge Street as friends arranged the match during the last class day festivities.
Mr Pitman finally admits he and his wife are married saying he does not mind who learns of the union. The couple kept the secret for six months while Pitman prepares to graduate from Harvard and move to a Western mining camp with his bride. Intimations were given to the bride’s parents and both families expect blessings. The couple plans a postponed honeymoon after the school year ends.
