A Tribute 10 Poor Billy
A Hull memory of Billy Pope a simple harmless but troubled man seen for years around Hull. He lived near the sea road begged for pennies sold driftwood and walked the town with a wheelbarrow and long arms. He spoke rarely but once recited the Lord’s Prayer and often watched trains and ships, a figure visitors remember with sympathy as Hull loses him.
