Miss Margaret Gast Aims 1000 Mile Cycling Record

New York May 27 Miss Margaret Gast plans to ride 1000 miles in record time to surpass sisters of the wheel and last year’s record breakers. The 22 year old rider weighs about 120 pounds and expects to begin the long trip in May, aiming for Paris after completion. The ride will use the Valley Stream course used by Will Brown last week.

Pugilist Teabout Dies After Boxing Injury

Eddie Teabout a colored boxer died at Bridgeport Hospital at 2:30 PM after being knocked unconscious in a Sailors Hall match with William Forsyth. Forsyth remained jailed after failing to post $1000 bail at the preliminary hearing. An autopsy by Medical Examiner Downs is planned for tomorrow.

Record Broken as 300 Riders Hit Half Century Sprint

Record broken as more than 300 riders completed the half century on the Unity course with C and Ellis achieving notable times. Organizers reported strong turnout and similar events were held previously.

Great Acton Cycling Feat Tops 300 Entrants

More than 300 cyclists joined the White half-century from Copley Square, led by H M Gordon and Walter A Woods. A total of 3816 riders started and 370 or more finished amid a day of punctures and few injuries, with participants from the Unity and Elks clubs and many named riders and supporters.
