Pigeons Reach Carib After Sea Rescue Off Sandy Hook
The Clyde line steamer Carib arrived from Brunswick and Charleston, S C, bringing four carrier pigeons that landed about fifty miles southeast of Sandy Hook. Seven other birds were drowned.
