Lawrence Mass May 24 Timothy Lowe thirty of this city entered the home of Timothy Sullivan in North Andover and sought to assault Sullivan’s eldest daughter aged 13. He strangled her and then choked the younger daughter as she cried for help. The killer was arrested at the scene and taken to the Lawrence police station. The crime left the family in deep grief and authorities fear possible mob action.

A despatch from Bowling Green reports 75 year old farmer George Anderson was beaten to death this morning with a lickory cane by his 65 year old wife. Mrs Anderson appeared insane at the time of the act.

In St Louis on May 25 Mrs Alexander Edmont, 121 South Compton, killed her three month old Gersler, four year old Carrie, and cut Emma, six, in the throat before fatally slashing her own. Emma survives. Mrs Edmont is said to be insane and in critical condition.
