Man and Horse Fall Into Open Sewer Hole

Salvatore Barresi of 94 Buffam Street Lynn was struck by a tipcart yesterday afternoon as he stood before an open sewer manhole. The cart driver could not stop the horse from backing, its hind legs dropping into the hole and narrowly missing Barresi's head. A lift was arranged to free the horse and Barresi, who was uninjured but frightened. Barresi stands five feet tall, making the near miss more alarming.
