State Auditor Defends Access to Public Information

State Auditor Cook rejected charges by Rep Herbert Burr claiming a political graft plot. He said the latch string is always out to Simon Swig and any citizen for information, and he only provides information to which the public is entitled. The dispute centers on a letter to the Governor and Council questioning Bank Commissioner Allen’s stenographic bills approved by the Governor and Council.
