Milton crash kills two firefighters as train collision injures four

A Milton hook and ladder truck collided with a Bay State freight car at Centre and Canton streets at 6 PM killing two firemen and injuring four others. Motorman John Hamilton and conductor Burton A. Smalley are held for manslaughter after witnesses blamed railroad staff.
