Debating the new registration bill in Senate and House
The Senate debated a Republican registration bill aimed at nullifying the poll tax abolition. Members clashed over amendments to strip or keep poll tax links, with votes largely party lines and a third reading awarded. The House then tackled the two cent a mile fare bill, while a slate of legislative agents was listed for city work.
