Melrose Hold Up Ends With Sandbagging Of Fletcher
Oscar B Fletcher, a Boston meat merchant, was held up and sandbagged at Melrose Highlands around 12 15 am. Two masked assailants, one about six feet tall, 210 pounds, dark complexioned with a black moustache, wore a long black coat and stiff hat. Fletcher lost about 4 50 in money and was left unconscious after a struggle near Rodolph Street close to Captain James Dillingham's residence. Police were notified and began inquiries into the robbery.
