Death by own action ends father and daughter
Warren G Butterworth aged about seventy shot himself in the mouth in a barn. Emma Butterworth aged 28 died after being shot through by the same rifle while trying to save her father. Insanity is believed to be the cause. The couple belonged to the town’s prominent Congregational family and church circles.
