William A. Dorr, accused of murdering George E. Marsh, lies near helpless and seriously ill on a train bound for the hub. He refuses to answer questions about the April 11 stabbing while a nurse tends him and stimulants and liquid food sustain him.
Inspectors William H. Kane and Stacy R. Burckes travel with Dorr seeking evidence while the suspect remains silent. The team insists a complete chain of evidence exists though Dorr shows no awareness of the claim as the report notes a continuation on Page 4-Sixth Column.
Salem May 10 aviation as a naval warfare innovation was shown aboard the battleships Georgia and Rhode Island when an aeroplane approached the ships from a clear sky at 6 30 pm and was greeted by cheering crews. Rear Admiral Fiske entertained Burgess aboard and officers predicted the hydroaeroplane would soon play a key role in naval warfare.
W Starling Burgess performed a hydroplane demonstration near the ship Georgia, swooping onto the water and skimming skyward. He circled the vessel and alighted repeatedly on her port beam, then towed the craft to the quarter-boom and was received on deck by officers including Rear Admiral A Fiske and Captain M. John.

A late night plan to deliver prisoner Richeson to the State Prison warden was stopped by a call from the governor's office. Richeson pleaded on his knees for more time as authorities halted the transport at the last minute.
Sheriff Quinn prepared to move Clarence V. T. Richeson to the death chamber when a call from the Governor halted the plan. Richeson prayed to remain in the county jail until the Governor's Council meets next Wednesday. If no favorable action by then, Richeson must be in Warden Bridges' custody before midnight May 18.
In London on May 10 John Redmond, Irish Nationalist leader, met the widow of Lord Cavendish, assassinated in Phoenix Park in 1882. She congratulated him on the Home Rule vote and said she was glad to witness the occasion, expressing a lasting interest in the cause.
Worcester May 10 Edgar Lizotte six of Southbridge and Joseph Tebo four of Northbridge drowned today. Lizotte fell from a plank while playing near a brook and sank in two feet of water. Tebo fell into the Blackstone River near his home and both bodies were not recovered.
Mrs. Arthur W. Locke of 12 Evans Court Malden was badly scratched and bitten four times by a mad half starved cat in her kitchen yesterday. She developed blood poisoning in her arm before she drove the animal away.
Mrs. Locke battled a prowling cat through the lower floor of her house. Cornered in the kitchen, she covered the animal with a tub and, with neighbors’ help, chloroformed it. The cat, owned by a moving neighbor, survived from 2 PM to 9 PM despite the dosage.
The State House reports Governor Foss struggles to aid Rick while in grave condition. Concern grows as officials consider Thursday action to seek counsel on whether Rick should be sent to a mental facility or faced with other measures.

Sidney Cushing, veteran Boston merchant and former city official, died suddenly last night in Jamaica Plain from heart disease. The longtime figure in local business and politics was remembered for his public service and community involvement.
Mr Cushing 72 died after a brief illness on Centre street Jamaica Plain as he stepped from a car. He lived 16 years at 286 Chestnut avenue with a widow and three sons in New York State. A former Lake Cushing Daniels partner and organizer of the Clothing Manufacturers Association, he also served on the Boston Board of Aldermen and once ran for mayor. The private funeral will be held at his home Sunday.
Justice Guy signed an order allowing Mrs Cecil Clark Davis to discontinue her suit against author and war correspondent Richard Harding Davis. The 1910 suit began with a summons in November 1910 and was held until today when counsel Mr Rand requested discontinuance. The couple, married in Chicago, cited incompatibility as the reason for filing and ending the action.
Former mayor Samuel A. Green remains in a comatose state with no signs of improvement. Medical brief notes his condition has worsened as he lies in the hospital under care.
