Crop report weighs on stocks in Wall Street trading
On May 10 Wall Street showed a subsiding yet persistent weak mood as traders digested the government crop report and Union Pacific financing plans. Wheat rose 8 cents on the report, while Amalgamated, Copper Range, North Butte and United Shoe Machinery moved lower. The day closed with a broad price decline and a dull market tone as investors weighed railroad finances and farm yields.
