Berlin May 9 The German Emperor told Imperial Guards officers in Tempelhof he is determined to carry the military bill into effect even if the coming Reichstag refuses it. He warned of a possible clash with a hostile body, signaling a move toward Prussian high Toryism and displacing hopes for liberal reform. The speech, reported in the North German Universal Gazette, drew deep sympathy among officers and sparked nationwide stir.
Mrs. Ellis Atherton sues the game makers claiming their advertised puzzle caused her husband to go insane.
