Edward Ferguson of 187 Ash Street South Boston on a bicycle collided with H J Everett of 20 Mt Vernon Street in a carriage at Chestnut Hill and Commonwealth Avenue yesterday afternoon. Ferguson was injured with head and leg cuts while the carriage damaged a wheel and other parts. The pair and three ladies screamed as the horses were stopped and both conveyances sent for repair.

A third sailor died in an unrelated incident.

A four masted schooner anchored midstream off East Boston lost Swedish sailor Anton Bergensen when he fell from the jibboom during a 8 30 p m sail handling near Boston light. The crew heard no cry and the man, 80, remained unaccounted as the vessel moved on.
Schooner Nat Aver seized favorable wind to the northwest and took Columbia's spars on board. She left Nantasket Roads and is due at Bristol Rhode Island within a day, expected tonight.
