Freshman President Kidnapped at MA College Banquet

Four sophomores seized Charley Gould the freshman class president of Massachusetts Agricultural College as he headed to the Exchange Club banquet. Gould was handcuffed and restrained in Amherst, prompting a search and a missing chair at the event. Police involvement followed, and Gould remained under guard with the sophomores claiming they could handle him. A reward and no questions asked offer was noted if he returned within three days.

Missing Youth Found Near Twin Mountain

Henry F. Shea of Waterville Maine a Coburn Institute student had been missing since April 24. He applied for work at the Twin Mountain House and was recognized by manager J F Whalen. He said he ran away unable to bear the disgrace of failing exams. His mother was notified and will come to take him home.
