New York May 6 The grand jury reexamined the Roland B. Molineux murder case of Mrs. Adams. District Attorney Gardiner urged the jury to take over the case, citing worry over recent matters including the Dolly Reynolds case. Foreman Church and another juror are Loyal Legion members. Admits Kissing in Suit Over 25 000 Dollar Breach

Patrick J. Riley testified in Superior Court that he did kiss Rose Crane but denied proposing marriage. He said he was in Nashua on Jan 26 1898, stayed with B F Everett, and produced a business check. He admitted giving a $25 watch not as an engagement gift and described letters from Crane using informal salutations. He noted frequent visits, a visible parlor session with the door open, and that Crane acted on her brothers in law’s counsel. He recalled a closed house and a later remark about not wanting the role assigned at a Lakeview dance. He also referenced men named Dumas and Frank Hayes with Crane and denied showing Crane land for a future house.
