In Washington on May 4 Miss Sallie McAdoo and Miss Nancy Lane join the bridal party for the wedding of Miss Eleanor Wilson to Secretary McAdoo in the White House Blue Room next Thursday evening. Cabinet children will be flower bearers as Cabinet members and wives contribute a gift of twelve silver service plates and a large silver platter.

Devine a 4 year old Dorchester resident was instantly killed when struck by a Bird-Miller Express Co truck in front of his home on Mosely street Dorchester The truck operated by Alexander McPhee Rogers of Dedham was seized as police investigated and Rogers was charged with manslaughter in Dorchester.

Unknown steamer afire found south of Cape Race

An unidentified steamer, aflame from stem to stern with no life on board, was spotted 300 miles south of Cape Race by the Seydlitz from Bremen to New York. The ship's position was given as 41.27 N, 51.07 W. The Franconia en route to Boston and the Olympic heading to New York were notified by wireless.

The Seydlitz circled a burning ship with heavy smoke obscuring its name. No small boats were found. the Olympic had been nearby 12 to 15 hours earlier. It was believed the unknown vessel caught fire after midnight and all hands were rescued by a ship without wireless.
