Patrick Joyce was arrested by Patrol man Sprague of Division 7 for drunkenness. He tried to escape with help from his brother Thomas, who was also arrested for attempted rescue of a prisoner from an officer.

Delaware & New England Company may assume the system if formed to carry out the Poughkeepsie bridge builders plans, leaving Reading liable for principal and interest.

John B. Wilson, longtime Plymouth resident and former Standish Guards member, died this morning at age 76. Born in Antwerp Belgium he fled as a drummer boy during the siege, later sailed to the U S as a stowaway, learned cabinet making and settled back in Plymouth after work in Boston and North Bridgewater. He was active in the local fire department and Plymouth Lodge of Masons but held no public office.
Marblehead reports the yacht Elsie stolen last Monday evening was found adrift near the Graves last evening. The cabin had been broken into and the thieves apparently used the boat for a day’s cruise before abandoning it and taking a rowboat.
Beverly notices guardian Henry Saltonstall will pay the late William Saltonstall heirs personal property tax in Boston this year. The town of Beverly loses 165000 by the arrangement.

George M. Shaw, a Ware River railroad brakeman, and Mrs. Louis Bosquet eloped from Palmer this morning. Shaw checked a large trunk at the station before joining Bosquet at the Monson poor farm, then rode the 1:45 train westward with plans unknown. Bosquet pursued later.

Walter H. Watts of 562 Western avenue Brighton was shocked while riding an electric car on Moody street.
