Tragedy at Chestnut Hill: Powell Kills Wife Then Self

William Beverly Powell, New England manager for R. G. Dun Mercantile, shot his wife at their Chestnut Hill mansion on 39 Essex Road shortly after 5 pm and then killed himself.
