The Ntotch Travelling Scholarship for Boston architects 1916 was awarded at a banquet at Hotel Somerset to Ralph Thomas Walker of Melrose Highlands. The two year study covers ancient and modern European architecture at European educational centres. Walker, 27, will begin after the war. he is an architect with James UI. Ritchie Company on Beacon Street, a Providence Technical High School and MIT graduate, married, residing at 1101 Franklin Street, Melrose Highlands.

Mayor Wendell D. Rockwood sought Cambridge building law amendments to allow a Billy Sunday revival tabernacle. At last night's council meeting several members opposed the proposal and no definite action was set for the next meeting. One member pledged to align with Governor McCall's stance on such amendments.

William Bragg of Roxbury was struck and killed by an outbound New Haven train near the Prentiss street bridge shortly after 11:30 last night. His companion Joseph J. McDonald, also of Roxbury, said they ran onto the tracks to flee a policeman and Bragg could not be warned in time.
Mrs Huggins said a dozen men invaded her property and moved a hen house at dusk. Former Representative Burnett admitted driving the horses and said neighbors banded together to remove it. The incident fueled a neighborhood war as landowners vowed to close the private road behind the Higgins house.

Mrs. Lone, 65, paralytic, was lowered to the ground from a fourth floor window by a life line during a basement fire at 53 Belvidere Street Back Bay. Ladder 13 firefighters Frank O'Brien and John McLoughlin wrapped her in a blanket and rope and lowered her to safety amid cheering onlookers.
