London May 1 reports Countess Russell in an amateur skirt dance provoked mixed reviews yet she appears content with the trial. She plans to sign with Manager Edwards to perform as a dancer at the Gaiety.

Patrolman Clark triggered box 36 at Faneuil Hall, with another alarm from box 716 in the Globe building. Likely started by a lighted cigar through a street grating.
In Woturn on Saturday Chief William R. McIntosh was thrown down stairs and injured while responding to a disturbance at Frank Houghton's New Boston street home. Houghton, arrested for fighting, with his wife fearing to stay, broke away, pushing the chief into a cellar. McIntosh and Officer McDermott pursued and Houghton was taken into custody.
