Swettenham action upheld in Jamaica correspondence case
London April 30. The under secretary for the colonies Mr Churchill refused to furnish further correspondence between ex Governor Sir Alexander Swettenham and the colonial office. He said fault lay only in a propriety issue about a letter to Rear Admiral Davis not in the Governor's handling of the American naval contingent, and he declined to publish Davis letter to Evans.
