The body of Miss F. A. Boynton of Lynn was found at Frying Point Marblehead by William H. Bartlett and wife. Coroner Carleton and Marshal Wells identified the body. A letter by Miss Boynton to Morris Leavitt quoted her intent to cast herself into the Atlantic if her business failed. She had left Lynn around 10 a.m. and traveled via Swampscott to Marblehead. She was over 60 with a Maine-born background and twenty years in Marblehead.

Man loses finger on ship at Emery's wharf

Charles W. Miller aged 52 of 12 London Street East Boston was crushed on his right hand when two pieces of mahogany pinched his little finger aboard the steamer Borderer at Emery's wharf Chel sea. He walked to Central Square East Boston then fainted and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
