The will of Oliver M Wentworth, who died recently at 182 Commonwealth Avenue, directs that legacies to certain educational institutions may not be given to any school or college whose students engage in the game of football. An exception is made for a theological seminary Bequest stands unaffected by the ban.
A will states that any educational institution receiving a legacy that allows students to play football on its grounds forfeits the legacy. Executors must not pay the funds, which become part of the rest and residue. The prohibition does not apply to Rochester’s German department.
Starting tomorrow the Boston police will visit every citation to compile a list of all male and female residents aged above 21, citizen or not. They will collect name, occupation, age, present address, and address as of April 1, ensuring inclusion on the voting list.

Dr William E Crockett a famed Boston amateur athlete figure died at City Hospital from gas poisoning. He was found unconscious in room 435 Shawmut avenue on Wednesday with gas emanating from an extinguished light. Despite efforts to save him his age 88 proved the handicap.
Milk drivers in Boston and nearby accepted a $3 a week wage reduction after a conference with milk dealers and employees. The deal, approved at a Union meeting on Washington Street, lowers drivers pay from 88 to 85 per week and dairymen from 31 to 28.

John Steele was killed when he fell from a neighbor's auto truck as it turned into Thaxter street near his home. The car driven by John Daley skidded and Steele was crushed under the rear wheels. He was pronounced dead at Dr. John Sweeney's office. He leaves a widow and daughter, Mrs James Gilleece.

Jeffrey Wilson of Rochester was saved from a rock in the Niagara River less than 200 feet from the brink of the American Falls. Police and trolley terminal staff heard cries for help near the falls around 9 pm and located a farmer clinging to a rock in the upper rapids about 200 feet below Goat Island Bridge.

A fire at the Richmond Hotel in North Adams sent more than 100 guests and staff into the streets. Webster Richardson of Newton suffered the worst injuries after sliding down a rope of tied sheets from the top floor. three other victims, George Bridges, Stanley Moore, and Paul Grandl, were treated and expected to recover. The loss was estimated at 60,000 dollars.
