Two Fire Companies Barely Survive Collapse

A five story brick building at 61 Warenim Street burned causing about 40000 dollars in losses and panic among 800 workers in a nearby laundry district. Lieutenant Joseph Smith of Chemical 10 was seriously injured as walls fell. several workers escaped death and a dramatic rescue occurred with a resident woman aided by city crews. Five alarms were rung as a strong westerly wind fueled a stubborn blaze but fire crews confined the fire to the origin structure.

Three Men Arrested in Brockton Diamond Robbery Case

James F. Courtney 26 of Lynde street Boston is charged with receiving nine stolen diamond rings tied to the Brockton robbery. Other arrests include John E. Legal Fight Over Foster Estate Heirship in Suffolk Court

In Suffolk Probate Court a petition seeks to determine rightful heirs to Oliver S. Foster of Revere valued around 350000. Petitioners Maria Bennett George Foster Henry Foster and Edward Foster claim Mrs Jennie Kimball nee Foster cannot remain administratrix due to alleged illegal prior marriage of her parents.
