Paris March 27 The draft covenant of the League of Nations now sits with the special drafting committee after a full commission session completed the text Wednesday night. Indemnities to be demanded from enemy countries are agreed upon and the boundary question is under discussion by the Council of Four.
Amendments debated at a peace conference centre on council of 10 or plenary session with final action by the covenant. A Wednesday vote adopted a measure recognizing women’s suffrage opening league offices to women. An amendment allows withdrawal from the league after two years’ notice once obligations are fulfilled. Article X of the covenant and the Monroe Doctrine amendment are discussed.
Today’s anniversaries recall 1915 events as Germans torpedoed the British steamer Falaba off South Wales with 112 passengers lost. A year earlier, fighting stretched 55 miles from southeast of the Somme to northeast of Arras, and British ships claimed victories over German machines. The Turkish force in the Hit region of Mesopotamia was reportedly captured.
Forecast for northern New England calls for rain Friday with a change to much colder conditions and clearing by Saturday. southern New England will clear and become much colder with Saturday fair. Northwest gales along the Atlantic coast and a general temperature drop east of the Steel area with storm warnings from Jacksonville to Eastport remain in effect.
Boston Elevated announces resumed operation of the elevated trains between North and South stations via Atlantic avenue starting tomorrow morning. The service was stopped after the January 15 molasses tank collapse damaged the structure near Copps Hill wharf, and will restart after extensive repairs.

Transfer options include Atlantic Avenue, Dorchester tunnel, East Boston tunnel and State Street connections through North and South Stations.
