Fifth annual inter collegiate cable chess match opens in Boston

The fifth annual international inter collegiate cable chess match between American universities and Cambridge and Oxford began at the Boston Athletic Association gym yesterday morning. The match features Harvard Yale Columbia Princeton and Cambridge Oxford teams with six boards and a two day schedule. Rice of Harvard and Webb of Cambridge started Table 1 with an original game as the British attack led by Davidson and Roome faced the American defense.
