Two Charlestown Boys Vanish After Blind Man Job Offer

Joseph Keenan, 13, of 3 K Street, and John Dever, 5% Third Street, left home Saturday seeking work with C. H. Adams, a Chelsea blind man at 69 Chestnut Street. They were drawn by an ad offering a home and paid tasks in Tremont Street offices. They walked from South Boston to Coes with 8 cents, were found later by police at Adams' home and returned home.

Matthias Donnelly aged 65 of 9 Adams street Roxbury was found dead in his chair at 8:46 yesterday morning. Hilsworth Lank of Dorchester reported the body after supplying coal. A medicine bottle for asthma lay nearby and a note indicated a transfer of possession to W. Hathaway of School Street.

John Stetson Celebrates 94th Birthday at Home

John Stetson, age 94, quietly celebrated his birthday at 60 Walker Street in Charlestown. He remains alert, rarely goes out, and has not visited Boston in a year. Born in Bristol, Maine, he married Pamela Brown of Lexington in 1828 and is the father of the late theatre manager John Stetson.

Three Rainsford youths held for arson in East Boston case

George A. Eiffier aged 18 Joseph Cox 17 and William Havey 16 from the Rainsford Island House of Reformation appeared in East Boston District Court on arson suspicion. Officer John J. McCarthy of Station 8 was the complainant and all were bound over for the grand jury in bail set at unknown amount.

Man Charged With Assault After Mrs Bancroft Loses Ear

In Municipal Court Judge Ely, Charles H. Smith of 107 Leverett Street was charged with assault and battery on Celia Bancroft of 368 Hanover Street after a Sunday gathering at Leverett Street. Bancroft suffered loss of an ear reportedly from a fall or push on the mop-board. Case continued to April 3 with $1200 bail.
