Dayton Gem City of the Middle West

Genesee River Flood Reaches Higher Levels

Mt Morris reports Genesee River at flood height with high water forces evacuation in lowlands. Belfast and Penn Yan report washouts on the Pennsylvania and Northern Central rail lines, with repairs estimated at two days. Keuka Lake rises about a foot in 24 hours as river crested three feet from 6 to 8 pm.
