Blanche Boise, a Nation follower and nurse about 35, horsewhipped Mayor Parker in his city hall office. He tore the rawhide from her hand and shoved her into the hall as she proclaimed future horsewhippings of the Governor and other officials. Boise said she supports temperance enforcement by such means and has an organization backing her with whips for Governor Stanley and Judge Hazen.

Widow Heir Faces Contest Over Crocker Estate
