Hard coal dealers may keep up price in Boston area
Retail merchants told a Post reporter that anthracite coal prices will not drop for about a month. The Reading Coal Company, handling 60 percent of U.S. output, has not signed any price-cut agreement, and most wholesalers doubt a reduction on April 1. High winter costs and transport delays are cited as reasons to hold prices, with dealers watching each other for movement.
