Anarchists’ Secrets Claimed as Reichelt Jailed

Otto Reichelt a bookkeeper for Arbeiter Zeitung is jailed on a capias in a suit by Socialistic Publishing Co alleging he embezzled over $500 in 1887. He denies the charge calls himself a spy for Captain Schaack and vows to reveal secrets the Anarchists will regret. He notes weekly meetings and groups on Blue Island Avenue Claybourne Avenue and Milwaukee Avenue as police monitor revived Anarchist activity.

A row of twelve three story cottages on Mercer Street between Ninth and Yale in South Boston houses thirty six families. About 160 military gentlemen attended, including 110 guests, mainly members of the Roxbury Veteran Artillery Association.
