Magician Harry Houdini declares he could plan and complete major heists in Boston, breaking any lock or safe he encounters. He claims no crooked intent but admits locks and safes are easy for him and mocks jail as a hindrance. He emphasizes strength, contortion, and smart thinking as his tools.
Public notice for a worldwide cold and grip remedy labeled Laxative Bromo Quinine. Claims headaches and neuralgia from colds are removed as the cause. Encourages readers to call for the full name and look for E. W. Grove signature, price 25 cents.
Twenty armed men surrounded the Mutual Credit Society Bank near the course as officials closed for the day. They covered staff with pistols and seized $425,000 before escaping despite guards attempting arrests.
