Three Fires in Charlestown Linked to Incendiaries

Incendiaries caused three fires in Charlestown near the Hoosac Docks last night. One blaze at 26 Water street, a junk storehouse owned by Morris Segal, cost about 20000 in damage but was contained. Two sailors rescued Mrs Mamie Clark from an upper tenement as other families fled. Additional arson attempts near the Hoosac Tunnel docks at Pier 4 and Freight Shed 14 were stopped. oily cotton waste fueled both blazes but were restrained with little total damage.
