Hub Woman Injured in Auto Crash

Mrs. William J. Cummings of Boston was seriously injured with a broken left arm and several fractured ribs when her car collided on Nahant boulevard late last night with a vehicle driven by Harvard students Richard Emmett and Nelson Slater of Claverly Hall on Harvard's Gold Coast. Her husband was badly shaken in the crash.

Woman Escapes Injury After Car Collision Near Slater Road

Mrs. Paul Whitney, an occupant of one car, fled unscathed after the crash, boarding a trolley bound for Boston. Official reports say Slater's car of Harvard students locked wheels with the Cummings vehicle, sending it into a fence and over an embankment before it returned to the roadway and the boulevard.

Death Imminent for Rt. Rev. Denis O Callaghan

At 2 o clock this morning Dr Timmins said Mgr O Callaghan was sleeping and no change had occurred yet. His death is now a matter hours away and he is considered near death. The Rt Rev Denis O Callaghan of St Augustine s South Boston is critically ill and unlikely to recover. He showed slight improvement yesterday but remains in a grave condition and recognized visitors this morning.

Mer O Callaghan Parish Leader Stricken With Illness

Mer O Callaghan, aged 72, fell ill after a banquet for President Michael J. Ryan of the United Irish League. He attended mass Sunday morning and grew seriously ill by 11 o clock, was unconscious for long periods, and received last rites from Bishop Louis S. Walsh. Cardinal O Connell and Mgr. O Callaghan's counsel visited, with hospital nurse attendants reporting restfulness. Three priests and three physicians have tended him, including Dr Henry A. Christian and Dr Robert M. Daley.

Man is killed in street shooting in Worcester

In Worcester on March 19 a man named Leonardo Renardo, 32, allegedly shot and killed Pasquale Troiano, 30, a stone carver living at 24 Lynde Street, while Troiano spoke with a friend on a street corner.

Assailant Flees Toward Framingham Boston After Fatal Shooting

Matti Lavolla says the killing of Troiano was cold blooded and that the shooter, a friend of both men, fired two shots in East Weymouth street. Troiano died in an ambulance despite oxygen, as police in Framingham and Boston are alerted to arrest the attacker on sight.
