Special Dispatch to the Boston Post from Kennebunk Maine reports the funeral services for Hon Joseph Dane conducted at his Zion Hill home by Rev Charles C Vinal of the Unitarian church. Bearers were local men and the York bar escorted the remains to the village cemetery. All industrial establishments closed and business paused as prominent townsmen attended and committees were named to draft resolutions for the May term at Alfred. The town mourns Dane as its first citizen an irreparable loss.
