Chickens Grow Hair In Unusual Diet Experiment
In Kankakee Illinois on March 14 Eling Blaisdell, a chicken grower, reports a brood of hens developing a thick coat of hair instead of feathers through a special diet. After two generations the birds shed their feathers, then grew pin feathers and finally a glossy hairlike covering.
