Express Kills Medford Man Near Tufts College Depot
Medford, March 12. C Cheeney, 50, of 26 Widder Street, was killed instantly by an outward bound express on the Boston & Maine railroad near the Tufts College depot. The body was found about 10 pm by the station master in a mangled condition. Cheeney, a widower, lived with his daughter and had gone out on business. He likely attempted a shortcut across the tracks toward Medford square.
