David Slade, reputed millionaire of Chelsea Massachusetts and former member of the spice louse of D. L. Slade, vanished at Grand Central Station as he and his daughter Mrs Adelaide Fitz prepared to depart for home. Police launch search as mystery surrounds the notable figure.
Mrs Fitz told police she, accompanied by her father and her son, arrived from the South on Sunday and went to Grand Central to catch a Boston train. They boarded the wrong train and became separated in the crowd. Attendants helped search for David Slade without success. Mrs Fitz wired her husband and later learned Slade had not reached Boston. She and her son returned to the Manhattan Hotel as police continued the search for her father. Slade heads D L Slade Co with offices on India Street and factories in Chicago and Revere.
